Whether for the lighting of a Christmas tree or add light to a wedding reception, they can be the perfect way to create a magical atmosphere in almost any space. They also happen to be cheap and easy to carry them the perfect addition to the decor of any apartment making.

If you're struggling to add light to a space, fairy lights can really help brighten a corner or dark room. Here are nine creative ways to use fairy lights in the decoration of an apartment.

 

1. On the Mantel

This is the most common use for fairy lights in a non-holiday frame. Added some fairy light strings can really add another dimension to candles and photos that usually adorn a fireplace, and they will also add light to the entire room.

Whether your bed frame is made of metal or wood, you can brighten by winding garland around slats or legs. If you put a little around your head, you'll also add some additional reading light for the times when you want to snuggle up with a good book.

3. Around Frames

The small strings of fairy lights powered by battery are perfect to brighten boring executives. You can either drape around the frame or stick them permanently with Super Glue or craft glue.

Rather than simply draping the lights on something or stick them on the wall, you can also get creative with you affix them to the wall. Use them to spell out the letters, maybe your initials or other significant word, on the wall or a bulletin board.

This will take a little more time and dedication than others, but when done right, it can really watch cool. Use a card as an outline and fairy string of lights around the coast of your favorite country or city (depending on the size of the map). If you want to go all out, you could get a map and define all coasts. You can either do it on a bulletin board with a pin for each point, or paste the lights using tape.
