Get Creative with Buttons

If you have random buttons lying around or you just touch the ultimate antiquing jackpot by buying a box full of antique buttons for $ 7, you do not have to worry about taking up space. With some glue, DIY and creativity, you can create beautiful works of art, including decorative items and jewelry, these buttons. With the holidays coming, these can be added to the center of your table or given as gifts to friends and family. Here are some ideas to get you started.  Earrings Reuse buttons for cute pieces of jewelry. You will need:

  • Earring back with pad
  • glue non-toxic
Apply a small dot of glue to each button. Wait until the glue dries a little, then press the loop back word of each button. Set it and leave it alone overnight. Make several pairs with different buttons. Bobby Pins Button Spice up these smooth hair clips with buttons.

  • 1 wax rope yard
  • 2 buttons, one large and one small
Cut the rope into four equal parts ( should measure 1.5 feet long). Then take one of the pieces of rope and thread through a hand on the larger button and pull to the center. Repeat with a second piece of cord and tie a knot. Repeat this on the button on the opposite side. After knotting, braiding the four corners of each side of the button. On the one hand, creating a knot in the end of the braid, then thread each channel in each hole of the smallest button and a node. On the opposite side, creating a loop at the end by braiding and knotting cord. Turn the button through the loop to secure. Napkin Rings Add character to your table with these napkin rings button.
