This apartment Elena Fateeva, is in a building that was built before the revolution and is in the heart of ancient Kiev. The house and its fixed location the atmosphere inside future. In the renovation process, the apartment was scratched from his sailing time, but kept some of his time building construction elements. When reconstruction took place, the owners decided to leave in the new interior accents. Once the restore process has been completed, the interior brick walls were much thicker, but kept some vintage appeal.
On the floor of the balcony and the fixed corridor some quality pavers. To preserve maximum open space in the bedroom of the owners decided not to hide in the pipe wall, but instead a new feature to it; So, it was turned into a clothing rack.The ultimate challenge is to create a modern interior while retaining some elements of antiquity. This 40 m apartment has been created to ensure the living conditions necessary for 1 or 2 people, but one of the problems here lie in the background. An important point was the realization of local feature. As a result of the redevelopment, the site of the old kitchen was reorganized into a bedroom. Living in the main room area was transformed into a living room and kitchen common area. A glass partition separates the bath rest of the apartment while visually facilitating this room.A huge mirror was placed in the corridor to add volume and prolong the appearance of the long, narrow corridor. Particular attention is paid to storage sites. The owners had to think how to hide huge closets that were needed for a comfortable life; this being finally realized with glass doors. A warm bearskin is placed on the ground, hence turning the living room in a central location. The couch allows huddle, watching TV together (TV large LCD implemented in the apartment wall) observing the fireplace or watch various things through the openings of extended windows.There is also an open balcony available through which enters the quitter and warm atmosphere of the apartment in the courtyard of the building.
